Biography

Dayna Friduss is an attorney in the Education Law Division. She has been representing families with special education needs since 2017. Her focus is on discipline, identification, IEP implementation and other special education matters. She also handles due process hearing complaints against public school districts in Georgia.

Dayna is a mother of two boys, one of whom has autism. After her son's diagnosis and despite negative predictions, Ms. Friduss delved into the realm of autism spectrum disorder treatment. She then pursued a career in education law, advocating for her son within the public school system. Before transitioning into education law, Ms. Friduss worked as an insurance defense attorney and claims professional, providing her with a wealth of experience in litigation, mediation and conflict resolution.

Dayna has undergone special education law training at the Institute of Special Education Advocacy at William and Mary Law School. She is also a proud member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates. Dayna graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law and has been a member of the Georgia Bar since 2003. Originally from Colorado, she obtained degrees in psychology and business administration from the University of Colorado Boulder.
